Diagonal House

A contemporary two-storey extension to a family home in South Cambridge.

MOOi were approached by the owners of this property to provide additional space for their young family and a new spacious master bedroom suite.

The solution, an open plan kitchen and dining area at ground floor, with a glazed partition to the adjacent living room and office.  This provides the option for the ground floor to be one generous area when entertaining, but if required it can be also separated as necessary.

At first floor a new master bedroom with vaulted ceiling, en-suite and bespoke joinery was provided.  

Externally the diagonal, open jointed cedar cladding creates a striking feature, complimented with a grey rendered finish at ground floor.
