MOOi have successfully obtained planning approval to sympathetically extend and reconfigure a Grade II listed property in the city centre of Cambridge.
The alterations associated with this application involve the extension of the existing basement by internalising the external courtyard with a new terrace above. The terrace helps to rationalise a series of stepped levels at the rear of the property, allowing for the client to maximise the usable space in their garden and eliminate trip hazards.
In the garden it is also proposed to remove an existing timber framed covered storage area and create a new Home Gym with bike storage. The Home Gym is to have a more contemporary aesthetic with open jointed burnt Larch cladding and a sedum/wild flower roof.
We look forward to further progressing this project through the detailed design stages. Please keep an eye on our twitter feed @MOOiArchitects for updates and photos as the project progresses.
